The CIW Security Analyst certification from CIW Certification was established in 2001 and is aimed at students who are currently employed in the Security Analyst, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the CIW Security Analyst certification.

The CIW Security Analyst certification certifies that a successful CIW Security Analyst has learnt the knowledge need to kills in implementing e-business security policies; identifying security threats; developing countermeasures using firewall systems and attack-recognition technologies; and managing the deployment of security solutions. The successful CIW Security Analyst certified student will have knowledge of the management and deployment of e-business solutions servers; and the implementation of e-business and network security solutions.

CIW Security Analyst Prerequisites:

The CIW Security Analyst certification is only available to students who have success fully acquired the CIW certification.

CIW Security Analyst Required Exams:

To be awarded the CIW Security Analyst certification, the CIW Security Analyst student must successfully pass one exam namely; the CIW Security Professional exam has a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and is thus only a moderately difficult exam. This exam is available in English only.

CIW Security Analyst Recertification:

A successful CIW Security Analyst student will hold the CIW Security Analyst certification for two years only, after which the CIW Security Analyst student must re-validate their CIW Security Analyst certification by retaking and passing the CIW Security Professional written exam.
