ACI Description:

The Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification from Adobe Certification was established in 1996 and is aimed at students who are currently employed in the graphic design environments, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification.

The Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification certifies that a successful Adobe has learnt the knowledge need to design images, web sites and multimedia using Adobe Creative Suite. The successful Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certified student will have knowledge of the Desktop Publishing professional. These are all fields in the graphic design environments.

ACI Prerequisites:

The Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification is only available to students who have success fully acquired a teaching credential, or a CTT+ or equivalent certification.

ACI Required Exams:

To be awarded the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification, the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) student must successfully pass one exam from the Adobe 9A0-019 Adobe Photoshop 6.0 exam, the Adobe 9A0-029 Adobe FrameMaker 7.0 exam, the Adobe 9A0-031 Adobe Photoshop 7.0 exam, the Adobe 9A0-034 Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 exam, the Adobe 9A0-035 Adobe Illustrator CS exam, the Adobe 9A0-036 Adobe Photoshop CS exam, the Adobe 9A0-037 Adobe InDesign CS exam, the Adobe 9A0-038 Adobe GoLive CS exam, the Adobe 9A0-039 Adobe After Effects 6.5 exam, the Adobe 9A0-040 Adobe Premiere Pro exam, the Adobe 9A0-041 Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional Print Production exam, the Adobe 9A0-042 Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional with Adobe LiveCycle Designer exam, the Adobe 9A0-043 Adobe Illustrator CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-044 Adobe Photoshop CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-045 Adobe InDesign CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-046 Adobe GoLive CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-047 Adobe Illustrator CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-048 Adobe Photoshop CS 2 exam, the Adobe 9A0-049 Adobe InDesign CS 2 exam, or the Adobe 9A0-050 Adobe GoLive CS 2 exam. These exams have a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and are thus only a moderately difficult exam. This exam is available in English only.

ACI Recertification:

A successful Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) student will hold the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) certification for two years only, after which the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) student must re-validate their ACI certification by retaking and passing the Adobe ACI exam(s).
